This Table

I didn’t have shelter me; she sheltered me.
I was naked, and this table clothed me.
I was hungry; she fed me.
I was thirsty; she gave me water to drink.
I was confused; it gave me clarity.
I was lonely; it gave me love and friends.
Writing, sharing, many things.

This poem was written by a group of asylum seekers when asked what the gathering table at the Refugee Claimants Support Centre meant to them.

Mail Order: You can purchase any of the items in this catalogue by mail order. Download an order form, print it out and follow the instructions on the form. Mail order payments are only by credit card, cheque or money order.


In Person: Come into the Centre on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between 9am and 5pm. We are at 12 Bonython St Windsor, Brisbane.  Purchases can be made in cash, by cheque or credit card.
