At the Refugee Claimants Support Centre, we rely on the generosity of groups and individuals such as you to help meet the needs of asylum seekers in Brisbane. There are many ways that you can help, including volunteering and donating money. You can also give us material items that may help. Following, is a list of our current needs:

Donations Requested by Asylum Seeking Clients:

Food items such as Basmati and Jasmine rice, lentils, coconut milk, spices etc. Toiletries and general hygiene products are also needed.

Telephone Cards. For asylum seekers to use for local calls and international calls (especially for international calls: Smiley, Estar, Budget cards).

Bus tickets or Translink tickets (2, 3 and 4 zones) & Taxi Vouchers

Most asylum seekers do not have cars and the only access to transportation is through the Brisbane public transportation services and even taxis for those that are not on an easy access line. 

** Please note that unfortunately we are unable to accept more donations of clothing, linen or shoes because we do not have the facilities to store and process them.  Please contact the RCSC on (07) 3357 9013 before delivering donations**
